The BreastScreen Queensland (BSQ) Mackay Service is seeking applications for an Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Administration Officer positions are the first point of contact for clients of the BreastScreen Queensland Mackay and Mobile Services. The positions are part of a multidisciplinary team for both screening and assessment services which are provided on site or remotely on the mobile van.

The Administration Officers are responsible for providing professional, high-quality; receptionist, switchboard, data entry, audit, medical typing, and administrative support for the BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service. Primarily the positions work at the static site at Wellington Street, however positions may be rostered to work on the Mobile Screening Van at Mackay suburb locations. The positions participate in a rotating roster to provide cover between 7am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday, a monthly late clinic to 5:30pm and a fortnightly Saturday Clinic between 8am – 12:30pm.

About the Team

The BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service is part of the BreastScreen Australia and BreastScreen Queensland Programs and jointly funded by the Commonwealth and state and territory governments. The aim of the program is to reduce morbidity and mortality from breast cancer through early detection of the disease. The program provides a free population-based mammography screening and assessment service and invites women aged between 50 and 74 years to participate every two years. Women aged between 40 and 49 years and over 74 years are also eligible to access the Program.

The BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service is part of Queensland Health's Mackay HHS. The Service sits operationally under Stream 4, Womens & Childrens services. The BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service incorporates a static screening and assessment service located at in the Mackay city heart and a mobile service coving the Whitsunday and Hinterland locations.
