About this role

Do you want to shape the future of sustainable land management in Queensland and help secure Great Barrier Reef water quality objectives? Join our Reef Compliance & Regulation team to balance agricultural productivity with environmental stewardship. As an Agricultural Officer, you’ll work with producers in Reef catchments to support compliance with regulated practices, reduce sediment and nutrient run-off and foster behaviour change. Your role includes on-farm inspections, permit assessments, stakeholder guidance and contributing to strategies for complex environmental challenges. We seek individuals with strong communication, problem solving skills & a willingness to learn. Experience in agriculture, environmental science or regulation is valued but not essential. This is a continuous applicant pool for temporary employment for roles in Cairns, Townsville, Mackay and Rockhampton
