The City of Hobart is looking for an experienced Asset Maintenance Assistant to help maintain and improve the parks, reserves and public spaces enjoyed by residents and visitors across Hobart.
Working within our Parks and Open Space team, you will undertake a variety of asset maintenance, inspection and improvement activities while contributing to the delivery of capital works projects that enhance the city's public spaces.

About you
This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same.
You will be responsible for maintaining and inspecting a range of public infrastructure and built assets, helping ensure they remain safe, functional and well presented for the community. The role also supports playground compliance activities, contractor management, and the delivery of works programs across the City of Hobart's parks and reserves.
Key responsibilities include:
• Undertaking programmed and reactive maintenance activities.
• Inspecting public assets and identifying maintenance requirements.
• Supporting the delivery of capital works projects.
• Assisting in the management and coordination of contractors.
• Contributing to playground inspection and compliance programs.
• Working collaboratively to deliver quality outcomes for the community.
