As a key member of the Strategic Asset Planning Team, you will help shape how Lower Murray Water plans, manages and invests in its water, sewer, and irrigation infrastructure to support deliver reliable, sustainable services for our customers and communities. Working closely with Planning, Service Deliver, Operations and Project teams, you will get a chance to work on meaningful asset management improvement initiatives that strengthen planning, decision-making, and long-term investment outcomes. You will help turn asset data and information into practical renewal programs and asset strategies that deliver long-term value. If you enjoy working across teams, improving systems and processes, and influencing better asset outcomes, this role offers a strong platform to grow in contemporary asset management aligned with AMAF and ISO 55000 principles. Key Responsibilities: • Drive improvement initiatives that directly advance LMW’s planning, governance, and asset management maturity. • Play a key role in shaping long-term asset renewal, maintenance, and capital investment strategies. • Design and refine asset strategies, management plans that guarantee service delivery, network resilience, and community value. • Apply risk-based thinking to asset planning, converting asset data and information into actionable insights. • Spearhead continuous improvements to Asset Information Management Systems (AIMS) to maximize data quality, and integrity. • Promote a zero-harm workplace by actively supporting hazard identification, and proactive safe work practices. About You : We’re looking for a motivated asset management professional with strong technical and analytical capability, along with the following: • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Asset Management, Business or a related discipline, or extensive equivalent experience. • Experience in asset management within the water industry or a comparable asset-intensive environment, with a strong understanding of asset management principles, lifecycle planning and asset management frameworks. • Demonstrated capability in risk-based asset management, including criticality assessments, condition assessment programs and asset performance evaluation. • Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or Asset Information Management Systems (AIMS), including asset data management and governance practices. • Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, present technical information and support evidence-based decision-making. • Ability to build productive relationships across multidisciplinary teams, with a commitment to Health, Safety and Wellbeing and fostering a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
