About this role

Council are seeking an experienced Barista to deliver exceptional, consistently high-quality coffee, prepare and serve a range of beverages and food items, and provide outstanding customer service to patrons of Vista Café Bar at the Mildura Arts Centre. Position details • Casual • Job Number: R2753 • Applications Close: 4pm, Thursday 6 August 2026 About the Opportunity The position will deliver excellent customer service at Vista Cafe Bar and prepare, serve and sell high-quality coffee, food and beverages. What you will bring Ideally the successful applicant will have the following: • Exceptional barista skills including but not limited to specialty coffee, latte art, grinders, current trends etc. • Demonstrated skills and experience in the hospitality industry. • Food preparation skills and experience. • A strong customer service focus and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Demonstrated ability in the use of Point-of-Sale systems. • Hold current qualification/certificates in Food Safety and Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Victoria. • Hold a current satisfactory police check or willing to obtain one. Salary and conditions The position is classified within Band 3 of Council’s Current Enterprise Agreement commencing at $42.87 per hour plus statutory superannuation.
