Use your knowledge and experience to drive seamless financial, procurement and facilities operations while keeping essential infrastructure services running efficiently across the organisation. • $81,496 to $ 90,227 + 12% Super • Ongoing, Full Time • We have a strong focus on professional developmen t ROLE SUMMARY: The Business Support Officer is a member of the Infrastructure & Property Business Support Group, responsible for providing high quality administrative support to the Facilities Management Group. A key component of this role is the coordination and execution of financial and procurement functions. This includes managing procurement processes such as vendor setup, invoice processing, and budget tracking, in collaboration with the Infrastructure and Property finance business partner, to ensure robust financial governance and compliance. The BSO also serves as the front-line contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing the ticket system (Sysaid) and Facilities inbox, as well as supporting system administration, secretariat functions, and contributing to continuous process improvement. Additional duties include VHO Reception relief and occasional travel, with some out-of-hours work required for supporting volunteer events and other initiatives. WHO WE ARE: Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) is a volunteer-based emergency service. Our highly skilled and equipped Volunteers are trained comprehensively in a wide range of emergency environments. To minimise the impact of emergencies when they occur and strengthen the community's capacity to recover swiftly and safely, VICSES focuses on working with communities and partners in building resilience to achieve more aware, informed and prepared communities. We support them to understand their risk and the relevance of taking action before, during and after emergency events. As the largest road rescue network in Australia we have specialist teams that provide a 24/7 response to road accident and trauma incidents. We assist Victoria Police in search and rescue operations, and play an important role in supporting the Country Fire Authority (CFA), Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV), Parks Victoria and the Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DEECA) during major bushfire and emergency incidents.
