The Department of Transport and Main Roads is seeking a highly organised and motivated Business Support Officer (Executive Services) to join our team in Roma. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with senior leaders, providing executive support that contributes to the successful delivery of transport infrastructure, road network operations and essential services that connect communities across Queensland.
In this role , you'll become a trusted support partner to the District Director, managing competing priorities and ensuring executive operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You'll provide high-level administrative support, coordinate complex diaries, organise meetings and travel arrangements, prepare professional correspondence and documentation, and liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders including senior management, government representatives and external organisations.
No two days are the same. One day you may be coordinating executive meetings and preparing briefing materials, and the next you could be supporting key regional initiatives, managing urgent priorities or facilitating communication between stakeholders. Your ability to anticipate needs, exercise sound judgement and maintain confidentiality will be highly valued.
We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, exceptional attention to detail and a genuine commitment to customer service. You'll be confident working independently, managing multiple priorities and using initiative to solve problems and deliver outcomes. Experience providing executive or senior administrative support, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, will set you up for success in this role.
