Cleaner required at Daylesford We are seeking a keen cleaner to join our Daylesford Health team to provide and facilitate a clean and safe environment to residents and customers at Daylesford Community Health. The Environmental Services Assistant is an integral member of the support services team who work to achieve a high standard of quality service delivery within the team environment. The Environmental Services Assistant will undertake and contribute to ensuring compliance with Cleaning and /or Food Safety standards, and assumes responsibility for their own practice. The position requires the following; • Clean and check all equipment and material used in daily work and report any faults, wear and tear or breakdowns to the relevant personnel. • Be familiar with Material Safety Data Sheets and safe handling of cleaning products. • Follow directions of the Infection Prevention & Control Coordinator/ Nursing Unit Manager regarding special cleaning precautions that may be required from time to time. Ability to perform duties within approved health and safety standards. • Commitment to Quality Improvement and Best Practice. • Report any identified maintenance or equipment faults or hazards requirement within the facility/campus. • Implement and comply with the policies and procedures. • Follow cleaning procedures outlined in cleaning schedules and policy and procedure manual using identified cleaning products for defined procedures. • Ensure that the standard of work undertaken complies with the philosophy and objectives of CHRH and enhances resident / patient care and meets requirements of Victorian Cleaning Standards. • Utilises supplies and equipment in a way that demonstrates compliance with cost containment principles. • Provide a clean, safe premises for clients and carers. • Maintain harmonious working relationships and open communication.
