About the role

As the Clinical Midwife Consultant (CMC) - Inpatient Services, you will play a pivotal leadership role in shaping and enhancing the delivery of maternity inpatient care at Redcliffe Hospital. Working as an advanced practice clinician, you will provide expert midwifery leadership, clinical guidance and specialist support to patients, families and multidisciplinary teams across the service. This role combines advanced clinical practice with service improvement, education and workforce development.

• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting midwifery practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

• Demonstrate advanced specialist knowledge, experience and clinical skills in Maternity Inpatient Services.

• Demonstrate critical thinking and reasoning, advanced problem-solving skills, and expert midwifery clinical judgement.

• Lead a positive practice environment that values ongoing opportunities for professional development and educational opportunities.

• May work across professional and organisational boundaries to influence health service and/or professional outcomes in relation to area of expertise.
