About the role This fixed term 12 month part-time role (2 days per week) as Clinical Nurse Educator is located in the Palliative Care Unit at Neringah Hospital and will contribute to the achievement of HammondCare's organisational goals by delivering clinical education programs that assist staff in providing high-quality care that is customer-focused. The Clinical Nurse Educator works in partnership with the Nursing Unit Manager, CNC, HammondCare Health Education Lead and other clinical managers to ensure education activities build and maintain a cohesive clinical team. HammondCare is a NSW Health-affiliated organisation all NSW Health transferrable entitlements will be recognised. The essence of this role • Provide educational leadership and clinical guidance to unit staff to foster the development of knowledge and skills in the area of speciality • Promote a culture of enquiry and learning that facilitates the development of person-centred practice • Work in partnership with the Nursing Unit Manager, CNC, Hammond College and other clinical managers to ensure education activities build and maintain a cohesive clinical team • Deliver clinical nurse education in the unit and provide educational programs based on needs analysis • Evaluate clinical education programs and report/discuss outcomes with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure effectiveness About you • Current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency • Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment or currently enrolled in the program would be an advantage • Relevant Post Graduate qualification in palliative care and/ or extensive clinical experience in speciality • Education qualification or willingness to complete would be an advantage. • Demonstrated skills in developing, delivering and evaluating education programs • Proven ability to provide clinical leadership and act as a resource person/mentor for nursing staff • Evidence of initiation/participation in Quality Improvement initiatives • Experience as a Clinical Nurse Educator or Clinical Nurse Specialist would be an advantage • Experience managing a team of skilled professionals • Strong administrative and computer skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Benefits - What are we offering • Market-leading remuneration • Salary packaging; $9,010 annually for living expenses • Leave benefits - purchased additional annual leave • Additional training & career development opportunities • Reward and Recognition Program • Fitness Passports: Full facility access can include gyms, group classes and pools for yourself and your family. • Free independent, confidential counselling services, wand wellbeing resources available through our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for you & your family. • Exclusive discounts at MyCar; Servicing, Brakes, Repairs • Exclusive commercial discounts for JB HI-FI, The Good Guys, Optus, Dell and Samsung Ready to make a change?
