Campbelltown Hospital is seeking a personable and skilled Diabetes Nurse Educator to join our forward thinking, multidisciplinary team within the Paediatric Diabetes Service.In this rewarding role, you will work closely with children, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver expert diabetes education and support. Your experience with insulin pump therapy and continuous glucose monitoring systems will be highly valued as you help shape personalised care plans and empower young patients to thrive.You will also have the opportunities to gain leadership experience by providing mentorship and supervision to colleagues and other nursing staff.  • Role is part time - 2 days per week

Are You the Right Fit?   The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical judgement, critical thinking, and the ability to work autonomously while delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. They will possess well-developed problem-solving skills, show initiative in complex clinical situations, and maintain a high level of professional accountability and leadership within a multidisciplinary team environment. A sound knowledge of paediatric diabetes management, including both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, is essential, along with an understanding of diabetes care planning and management within school settings. The successful candidate will be committed to ongoing professional development and remain current with advancements in diabetes technology, including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems, while applying evidence-based practice and contemporary paediatric care standards to achieve optimal outcomes for children and young people living with diabetes.    Selection Criteria   To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below.  • Please outline your experience in paediatric diabetes care and education • Provide an example of how you have worked collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders (e.g. schools, educators, or community services) to improve outcomes for children or young people.
