Position overview • Employment Type: Part time (16 hours per fortnight), On going position • Location: Warrnambool Campus • Classification: Clinical Support Midwife • Salary Range: $115,289.20 pro rata, plus superannuation About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Support Midwife to join our Nursing and Midwifery Education Team. In this role, you will provide clinical support, education and mentoring to nurses and midwives, with a focus on developing excellence in maternity care. Working closely with the Clinical Midwifery Educator and broader education team, you will deliver bedside teaching, support graduate and postgraduate education programs, and contribute to ongoing professional development initiatives. You will also assist with undergraduate support and other education activities, helping to build a positive learning culture and high-quality, evidence-based patient care across the organisation. What you bring The successful applicant will be a Registered Midwife with current AHPRA registration and a minimum of three years' clinical experience in a maternity setting. You will demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge, a passion for education and mentoring, and the ability to support the ongoing development of nurses and midwives through clinical teaching, competency assessment and constructive feedback. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or tertiary qualification in Education (or willingness to obtain) is desirable.
