About this role
What you'll do
As the Communications and Engagement Officer, you will develop and deliver strategic communication and engagement initiatives that support the successful implementation of the Workforce Rescue Plan and its objectives. Working closely with the Health Workforce Division (HWD) leadership team, you will identify and coordinate key communication opportunities, develop targeted messaging, and showcase significant milestones and achievements. You will create a range of high-quality communication materials, including executive briefings, presentations, employee communications, newsletters, speaker notes, corporate publications, and digital content, helping diverse stakeholders understand complex workforce initiatives. You will manage internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and meaningful engagement, collaborate with the Strategic Communications Branch to align activities with Queensland Health's corporate identity and style requirements, and monitor the effectiveness of communication and engagement strategies to drive continuous improvement. In addition, you will work collaboratively across teams to coordinate communication and change management activities, proactively manage emerging communication and stakeholder issues, and contribute to a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace culture.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
• Proven experience in developing and implementing complex communications strategies and action plans.
• Proven ability to develop high quality communications collateral in written formats with an ability to create impact and influence others.
• Highly developed communication and oral presentation skills, including the ability to develop engaging, relevant, and easily understood communication materials that are tailored to the level of knowledge, skill, and experience of the audience.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and consultation skills and proven ability to work collaboratively within teams.
• Proven ability to communicate needs, key messages, and information with clarity, ensuring others understand.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective relationships
