We are seeking an experienced and professional Community Development Coordinator with a passion for teamwork. In this role here are some of the accountabilities: • Grow and manage a high-performance Community Development team by providing leadership and direction in the development and delivery of relevant strategies, plans and services. • Lead and undertake appropriate community engagement processes to inform the delivery of community development and wellbeing initiatives, events, programs and projects relevant to the Shire demographics. • Coordinate and facilitate the development and provision of social support programs and activities designed to meet the needs of the local community, including but not limited to: Access and Inclusion, Seniors, Children and Families, First Nations and Multicultural programs. • Prepare quality reports and documentation, as relevant to Advisory Groups and Council functions, within the responsibilities of the Community Development team. Our preferred candidate would be able to demonstrate the following skillset: • Qualification in Community Development, Social Science or a related field. • Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring teams, including volunteers and staff, to achieve community development goals. • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with community groups, government agencies, businesses, service providers and other stakeholders. • Experience in managing budgets, securing funding, and administering grants for community programs and initiatives.
