As the Co-ordinator Library Services, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of library learning programs to our community, as well as facilitating relevant literacy and learning opportunities for people of all ages within the community. Some of your key duties will include.

In this role you will have the following accountabilities:

• Lead, support and coach individuals and teams to deliver great services and programs that create a positive customer and visitor experience

• Deliver friendly, community-focused library and information services and programs

• Build strong relationships with community partners and stakeholders

• Support the day-to-day administration and operations of the Branch Library

• Help deliver the goals of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale Library Services in line with approved plans, policies, procedures and guidelines

• Contribute to the Shire's future planning, especially around the needs of our local community.

Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

• Tertiary qualifications in librarianship

• Strong experience delivering and promoting community-focused library services and programs, with the confidence to support positive change in modern library services.

• Great people skills, with clear and confident communication both in person and in writing.

• A practical approach to problem-solving, along with the ability to motivate, lead and support teams to perform at their best and enjoy their work.

• A good understanding of automated library management systems, along with knowledge of local government policies and procedures, would be a bonus.

We will negotiate a great salary with you up to $102,650 depending on the experience you bring to the role.

With the Administration office located in Mundijong just 45 minutes from the Perth CBD on the picturesque backdrop of the Darling Scarp, our Shire is one of the fastest growing Local Governments in Australia. Our newly established library is located on Southwest Highway, Byford.
