About the job We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Compliance Specialist to join our Corporate Governance, Risk and Resilience team. Reporting to the Corporate Compliance Manager, you will play a key role in maintaining SA Water's compliance framework and supporting a strong culture of integrity across the organisation. You will provide expert advice, lead compliance investigations, monitor compliance obligations, support regulatory engagements, and help ensure legal and corporate requirements are effectively managed. Working closely with leaders and stakeholders across the business, you will contribute to regulatory reporting and identify opportunities to strengthen compliance systems, processes and organisational capability. This is an opportunity to influence business decisions and help drive continuous improvement across an essential service provider. About the Person You are an analytical and proactive compliance professional with experience operating in a regulatory, governance, risk or compliance environment. You can interpret complex legislation and requirements, provide practical advice, and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. With strong interpersonal skills and a solutions-focused approach, you build trusted relationships across all levels of an organisation. You are comfortable engaging with senior leaders, regulators and operational teams, and have exposure to risk and assurance activities. You thrive in complex environments, can manage competing priorities, and maintain a strong focus on detail while supporting sound compliance and governance outcomes. About Business Insights and Excellence The Business Insights and Excellence business group turns data into trusted insights that help us make better decisions for our customers and community into the future. Working in this team means analysing complex information, responsibly managing finance and procurement, building meaningful reports and dashboards, and partnering with the business to solve real problems. You’ll help shape strategy, improve performance, and ensure decisions are informed, evidence-based, and aligned to what matters most for South Australians. Responsibilities will include: • Develop and continuously improve SA Water's compliance framework, policies and procedures. • Provide expert compliance advice and support across the organisation. • Monitor compliance performance, investigate compliance matters and support regulatory notifications. • Prepare compliance reporting for regulators, senior leadership and the Board. • Build compliance awareness and capability through training and stakeholder engagement. • Support the development of systems and processes that strengthen compliance governance and organisational resilience. Your success in this role will come from: • Experience working within a regulatory, compliance, governance, risk or assurance environment. • Exposure to risk and assurance frameworks, processes and activities. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex information and provide practical recommendations. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing, briefing preparation and stakeholder engagement. • Proven ability to build productive relationships with senior leaders, regulators and diverse stakeholder groups. • Experience managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment. • Relevant qualifications in law, commerce, governance or a related discipline, or equivalent experience, complemented by strong digital capability and experience with compliance systems and reporting tools.
