Your new role We have an opportunity for someone to join our Information and Digital Services team as a Data Engineer on an ongoing basis. Reporting to the Manager Digital Services, the role will use existing IBAC software agreements (i.e. Microsoft Enterprise Agreement) to create technology solutions for integration, sharing, dashboards and reporting for teams across the organisation. The Data Engineer will be expected to work with stakeholders from across the organisation including investigators, intelligence analysts, lawyers and the executive, each with their own discrete requirements and data types. Duties include: • Designing, building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. • Ensuring data quality, integrity, and security through validation, cleansing, transformation, auditing, and monitoring processes. • Developing robust ETL/ELT processes to support analytics and reporting needs. Your skill set We are looking for candidates with: • Tertiary qualifications in Data Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a field relevant to the position. • Proven work experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, Data Analyst or similar role including significant experience in data analytics, data visualisation and/or data management. • In-depth understanding of database structure principles.
