DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

Join our team and help shape the future of our growing Municipality. As our Development Engineer , you’ll play a key role in assessing and approving subdivision, residential and commercial developments, ensuring new infrastructure meets Council’s standards and regulatory requirements. You’ll also provide technical engineering expertise to support Council’s civil renewal and capital works projects, helping deliver safe, sustainable and high-quality assets for our community.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR… We’re looking for a motivated and capable engineering professional with qualifications in Civil Engineering or extensive experience in Civil Construction Supervision or Design. You’ll have the ability to interpret engineering drawings, codes and standards, assess traffic and stormwater impacts and apply sound judgement to resolve complex engineering matters. Strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and a commitment to delivering practical, high-quality outcomes are essential. A current driver’s licence and Construction White Card are required, while experience in local government and software such as GIS, AutoCAD, MUSIC or DRAINS will be highly regarded.
