Justice Policy and Reform

As the Director, Office of the Deputy Director-General, Justice Policy and Reform (ODDG JPR), you are responsible for managing the Office of the Deputy Director-General and providing expert, comprehensive and timely advice to the Deputy Director-General on key issues impacting the department's strategic objectives.

Your key responsibilities

• Manage the Office of the Deputy Director-General, Justice Policy and Reform and provide expert, comprehensive and timely strategic advice and support to the Deputy Director-General on key issues.

• Undertake projects of a complex or sensitive nature as assigned by the Deputy Director-General and other duties as directed.

• Ensure the delivery of quality, timely, informed and strategic advice to the Attorney-General, Director-General and senior officers on justice policy issues.

• Represent the Deputy Director-General at internal and external forums, building strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Oversee the management of the divisional budget and provide accurate advice on budget performance to the Deputy Director-General, senior management and departmental officers.

• Establish and develop networks and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the effective and efficient implementation of solutions through appropriate change management strategies.
