Key Responsibilities
• Provide high level strategic advice, analysis and support to the Executive Director and Director-General on complex policy and operational divisional issues.
• Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary team, that includes the Executive Correspondence, Cabinet and Legislation Liaison and Departmental Liaison teams, ensuring effective and consistent service delivery and outcomes.
• Be a central point of liaison for the ODG with the strategic policy unit , reviewing submissions and providing clear, timely and accurate advice to and on behalf of the Director-General with regards to processes and emergent risks.
• Build and maintain effective working relationship with key officers within the department and across government, providing high quality, timely and sound advice to support delivery of strategic priorities.
• Work with the Director-General and Executive Director, ODG to ensure the provision of sound advice and information to central agencies across Government.
• Promote a safe, respectful and inclusive workplace that is free from bullying, discrimination and harassment.
