Cloncurry Shire Council is seeking an Early Childhood Casual Assistant (Qualified) to join the team at Curry Kids Early Learning Centre on a permanent full-time basis.What We Offer: Full Time- Stream A- Division 2- Section 2 ( Children's Services & Early Childhood Education)- Level ASS1YQY1 to ASS1YQY3- $69,000 to $75,000 per annum (depending on experience)+ Superannuation.5 weeks of Annual LeaveRemote Area Housing Assistance ($60 per week for Renting / $90 per week for Homeowner)Rostered Days Off (RDOs)Personal (Sick) Leave.Flexible Work Arrangement available ( FWA) for the first 12 months:7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30- minute Break)Key Responsibilities:Assist in delivering early childhood education programs in line with frameworks and standards.Support children’s development, wellbeing, and daily routinesMaintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment.Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.Monitor and contribute to children’s learning and development records.Ensure all children are supervised at all times with a strong focus on safety.Assist with general duties including cleaning, laundry, and administrative tasks.What We’re Looking For:Council is seeking a candidate who:Has a genuine interest in early childhood education and careDemonstrates strong interpersonal and communication skillsCan work effectively both independently and as part of a teamEngages positively with children and families in a respectful and supportive mannerHas an understanding of child development and early learning frameworksMandatory Requirements:Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and CareCurrent Blue Card (Working with Children Check)Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis Certificate (or ability to obtain before commencement)National Police ClearanceFor a more detailed job outline, please see the attached Position Description.
