About this role

We're excited to welcome two Enrolled Nurses to our Waratah Older Persons Unit and Kamala Unit within our Mental Health and Specialised Services Team.

This position provides a unique opportunity to utilise your mental health specific clinical expertise, demonstrate excellence in nursing care, while contributing to the future development of the Mental Health nursing within Mental Health and Specialised Service (MHSS). In addition, this role will work under the supervision of the Registered and Clinical Nurses as per the scope of practice of the Enrolled Nurse.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.

• Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 3 and the Queensland Public Service values.

• Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.

• Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.

Salary rates: $38.11 - $40.45 p.h., employer contribution to superannuation (12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 3) (part time position available, 45.6 hrs p.f.)
