About us The Essential Services Commission is Victoria’s independent economic regulator of essential services supplied by a range of industries. The commission’s functions include: • making regulatory decisions with respect to prescribed industries (including price determinations, licensing, customer protection and access disputes). • undertaking reviews and providing advice to Ministers on a range of economic and regulatory matters. • administering the Victorian Energy Upgrades program. About the role The Executive Assistant provides confidential executive and administrative support to the Executive Director and supports the efficient operation of the Office of the Executive Director within the VEU division. The role works closely with the Senior Adviser to manage diaries and inboxes, coordinate meetings, briefings and correspondence, track actions and deadlines, and facilitate effective communication between the Executive Director, VEU leadership team, and internal and external stakeholders. This is a fixed term position for three years. The work location for this position is Melbourne CBD with hybrid work arrangements available. Key accountabilities In this role, you will: Provide high-quality executive and administrative support to the Executive Director by managing complex diaries, coordinating meetings, prioritising correspondence, preparing briefing materials, and monitoring actions and approvals. You will also support the effective operation of the executive office through records management, financial and administrative processes, stakeholder engagement, document preparation, and continuous improvement of office systems and workflows.
