Executive Manager, Financial Assistance Unit

About this role

The Executive Manager, Financial Assistance will be appointed by the chief executive as a Government Assessor under the Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009 (Section 128). This position reports to the Director, Financial Assistance and will: • Perform functions as delegated by the Scheme Manager, Victims of Crime Assistance Act 2009 (section 129). • Lead a multidisciplinary team in the delivery of high quality, responsive services in an evidence-based decision-making environment. • Drive organisational change, culture and capability and provide leadership to Victim Assist Queensland staff. • Implement systems and processes to facilitate the timely assessment of applications for financial assistance in line with legislative intent.
