In this role, you'll: Work as a Health and Safety Assurance Advisor within Sydney Metro Risk and Assurance team, delivering health and safety assurance, risk control verification, and compliance audits across metro rail infrastructure projects. This role will see you undertaking Risk Control effectiveness reviews, conducting site-based inspections, supporting incident investigations, and contributing to the development of risk control verification plans and safety frameworks, while building expertise in rail safety, assurance programs, and regulatory compliance. You will lead the verification of critical health and safety risk controls and drive compliance outcomes in a complex, high-risk rail infrastructure delivery and operational environment with multiple stakeholders and evolving regulatory requirements. About you Your positive attitude towards fostering a safety culture formed from your experience working in safety teams on large infrastructure/construction projects will see you excel in delivering in best practice health and safety outcomes. You are recognized as a trusted safety professional with strong integrity, skilled at conducting inspections, audits, and assurance activities, experienced in health and safety risk management, regulatory compliance, and working within complex project delivery environments. This is a ‘hands-on’ role and forming critical relationships with operational stakeholders and maintaining a health and safety advisory support role and being able to influence safety outcomes is key to success. You are someone who enjoys working within a collaborative team that values getting results. The team currently works in a hybrid way and this role requires you to work across multiple sites in the Greater Sydney area, the office and some working from home. This role is identified as a Rail Safety Worker (RSW), and you hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant safety discipline (minimum Cert IV in WHS or Rail Safety).
