Together we can do more. To provide the best possible imaging service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. Strive to maintain the principles of "best practice" within the department including care for patients, interaction with visitors, working with other staff and adhering to the CORE valves of the ISLHD. Participate in a rotating roster (24/7) performing a range of medical imaging related services as part of a multi-disciplinary team with the ability to take on leadership roles as well as working independently. Utilise imaging equipment to produce optimal diagnostic images complemented by a range of IT products including PACS & Radiology and Hospital Information Systems. Demonstrate and implement a high level of knowledge and proficiency in complex clinical procedures in a sub-specialty of Medical Imaging. Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed-base count of more than 500. The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services. In addition, please note you must have the following essential requirements: - Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role. - Working With Children Check (WWCC) - Degree in Medical Radiation Science - Medical Imaging or equivalent, which will allow eligibility for membership of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT) - Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency/ Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia with evidence of participation in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program - A licence to operate radiation apparatus as issued by the NSW EPA. - Current Class C driver's licence This is a temporary parental leave relief position until 26 September 2027 with the possibility of an extension at same or reduced hours.
