About the role: Join the dedicated Maternity Services team at Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital and make a meaningful difference to women, babies and families across our region. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic service, influence the delivery of high-quality, woman-centred care and help shape the future of maternity services. No two days are the same in this rewarding leadership role. You will work closely with midwifery, medical and multidisciplinary teams to support daily operations, workforce planning, clinical safety and service performance. You will provide visible leadership, support and develop staff, respond to emerging priorities and lead improvements that enhance care for women, babies and families. You won’t be working alone. The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive orientation and supported transition into the role, including introductions to key teams, services and organisational systems. They will be supported by the Director of Nursing and Midwifery, senior nursing and midwifery leaders, and the broader multidisciplinary team. Where you'll be working: Tamworth Hospital is the principal referral hospital for the northern sector of Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD), servicing a population of over 180,000 people. As a major rural referral facility, Tamworth Hospital provides a wide range of specialist services, including emergency, medical, surgical, maternity, critical care, mental health, rehabilitation, and outpatient services.

Requirements:
Registered Midwife with current Authority to Practice with APRHA, as well as relevant post grad qualifications in clinical leadership or management and recent post registration clinical experience
