Help shape Victoria's multicultural future
The Victorian Government is seeking passionate and experienced community leaders, advocates, professionals and changemakers to join the Multicultural Community Advisory Group (MCAG) .
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute your expertise, insights and lived experience to help inform government policy, strengthen, and improve outcomes for Victoria’s multicultural and multifaith communities.
The Multicultural Community Advisory Group plays an important role in ensuring the voices, experiences and aspirations of multicultural communities are reflected in government decision-making.
This a fee-paying board, and members will be remunerated in accordance with Group B Band 2 remuneration rates.
Who we're looking for
We are seeking individuals who:
• have a strong understanding of multicultural communities and issues affecting Victoria's diverse populations
• have experience in community leadership, advocacy, service delivery, business, education, health, local government, academia or other relevant sectors
• can bring strategic thinking, sound judgement and diverse perspectives to complex issues
• have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• are committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, belonging and social cohesion
• bring diversity of representation including youth representation

Time commitment
Members will be required to attend regular meetings chaired by the Multicultural Coordinator General, and may be invited to participate in consultations, workshops and other advisory activities throughout their term.
