• Exciting opportunity within a major Federal Government transformation program • Multiple roles available | Contract to June 2027 with 12-month extension option!! • Highly Technical Collaborative Team Environment A leading Federal Government Department is seeking experienced Data Engineers to support the delivery of enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives. These roles will play a key part in designing, developing, and implementing modern data solutions across complex cloud and hybrid environments, supporting critical data integration, migration, transformation, and analytics outcomes. The successful Data Engineers will be offered an initial contract through to 30 June 2027 with a 12-month extension option. The successful Data Engineers will be responsible for, but not limited to: • Designing, developing, and maintaining structured and unstructured data pipelines to support integration, migration, transformation, and analytics requirements. • Working with stakeholders to identify required data sources, develop data models, and deliver solutions that support reporting, analytics, and business applications. • Implementing data engineering solutions across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments, with a strong focus on Azure-based platforms. • Contributing to data quality, governance, consolidation, curation, and transformation activities while ensuring alignment with established standards and guidelines. • For Senior Data Engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring junior engineers, reviewing technical designs, and driving best-practice engineering approaches across project teams. The successful Data Engineers will have experience in the following: • Demonstrated experience in data engineering, data warehousing, analytics, or enterprise data integration environments. • Advanced SQL skills and experience using Python for automation, scripting, and data manipulation. • Hands-on experience designing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, integration workflows, and large-scale data platforms. • Strong understanding of Azure cloud technologies, relational and non-relational databases, and modern data architecture principles. • Previous experience delivering Microsoft 365 solutions within the Australian Federal Government environment will be highly regarded.
