This is an exciting opportunity to lead the new Cardiology inpatient unit 3 South Cardiology Unit, incorporating the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) and Cardiology Inpatient Unit, as a Nurse Unit Manager Level 2 (NUM2). You will provide strategic, operational and clinical leadership to a multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality, patient centred care for people experiencing acute, complex and chronic cardiac conditions. Working closely with the Nurse Manager, medical, nursing and allied health teams, you will drive excellence in clinical practice, patient flow, workforce management and service delivery. As the NUM2, you will play a key role in shaping and developing this new integrated cardiology service, fostering a positive, high-performing team culture and a commitment to continuous improvement. You will lead clinical governance, quality and safety initiatives, staff development and resource management, ensuring the provision of evidence-based care that optimises patient outcomes and supports exceptional patient and carer experiences. Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region , providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre. The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region.
