What your day could look like

As a Mental Health Worker - Adult, you'll help people achieve better mental health outcomes while strengthening connections across the community. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll deliver person-centred care that makes a meaningful difference in people's lives.

Every day, you'll contribute by:

• Supporting adults with assessment, treatment and recovery-focused mental health care.

• Building strong partnerships with consumers, families, carers and service providers.

• Sharing knowledge and collaborating with colleagues to strengthen service delivery.

• Contributing to service improvements that enhance consumer outcomes and experiences.

Here's what will help you thrive in this role:

• Qualification and professional registration (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist, Psychologist or Social Worker.

• Experience delivering mental health assessment, intervention and recovery-focused care.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.

• Commitment to ongoing learning, quality improvement and professional growth.

You'll stand out from the crowd if you have postgraduate mental health qualifications and/or experience in regional, rural or community mental health settings.

Most importantly, you're passionate about improving mental health outcomes and embody the values of compassion, integrity, dignity, innovation and courage.
