Position overview • Employment Type: Full time (86 hours per fortnight), 12 Month Fixed term position • Location: Warrnambool Campus About the role South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking a dedicated Unaccredited Oncology Registrar for a 12-month fixed-term contract. Based at the Warrnambool Campus, you will join a supportive multidisciplinary cancer care team, gaining hands-on clinical experience while enjoying a relaxed, scenic regional lifestyle. Working closely with Consultant Medical Oncologists, this role involves the day-to-day clinical management of oncology inpatients and day oncology patients, participating in ward rounds, and assisting with multidisciplinary team meetings. It is an ideal position for a driven junior doctor looking to consolidate their oncology skills, build their CV, and prepare for formal advanced training. Key Responsibilities • Deliver day-to-day clinical management of oncology patients under Consultant direction. • Assess and review patients in the outpatient Day Oncology Unit and acute medical wards. • Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and unit audits. • Liaise effectively with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and patient families. • Supervise and support junior medical staff where required. What you bring The successful applicant will hold current Registration Certificate of the Medical Practitioners Board of Australia and is able to demonstrate a commitment to providing safe, high quality patient care with a view to ongoing learning and self-development.
