The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Pharmacist - Advanced (Medicine Use Evaluation) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 14 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
• Independently lead and participate in clinical research and Quality Use of Medicines projects
• Provide strategic direction for pharmacy services and medicine use evaluation
• Implement succession planning and skill development within the area of medicine use evaluation
• Lead the development and knowledge translation of evidence-based clinical practices, procedures, protocols and education materials
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
• Tertiary degree in Pharmacy
• Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
• Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
• Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
• Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
• Temporary part-time (16 hours per fortnight, 12 months with possibility of extension)
• Base salary ranging from $73.12 - $76.30 per hour

The Pharmacy Service provides medication management services across the Gold Coast HHS, through inpatient units, outpatient clinics and in all facilities where medicines are being utilised for the care of patients. This includes Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals, the Southport and Robina Health Precincts, Numinbah Correctional Centre as well as various community services.
