Lead strategic land use planning to promote growth, support business investment, and enhance the Gilgandra Region as a great place to live and grow.

• Full-time, up to 35 hours per week

• Fixed Term up to 12 months

• Rostered day off every fortnight - an extra 22 days off a year!

• Weekly pay cycle

• Salary range $2232.62 - $2679.24 per week

ABOUT THE ROLE

The role will proactively contribute to the Growth and Liveability management team on strategic landuse planning objectives by promoting the Gilgandra Region as a place to live, enjoy and grow. The role will deliver highly effective leadership to enable growth opportunities for attraction and retention of businesses through common sense application of land use planning, development assessment and other regulatory principles.

ABOUT YOU

Council is looking for someone who has the following qualities, experience and/or qualifications:

• Tertiary qualification in Town Planning, Environmental Planning or related field and/or relevant experience

• Minimum 5 Years’ work related experience in this field

• Knowledge and proven ability supporting the preparation of strategic plans, guidelines, policies and manage a range of projects

• Knowledge of Environmental Planning and Assessment Legislation

• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to translate technical information into plain English

• Demonstrated project management skills and experience working on projects and in project teams

• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and contribute to a positive team environment

• Demonstrated understanding and commitment to WHS issues

• Current Driver Licence
