About this role

Who we are: Economic Development Queensland (EDQ)is a Queensland Government agency that unlocks land and accelerates housing, planning and infrastructure delivery — creating liveable places and enabling economic growth. Our work helps deliver safe, secure and affordable homes and supports thriving communities across the state.

Empowered by the Economic Development Act 2012, EDQ has unique planning and approval powers to help unblock complex projects and bring development-ready land to market. Our purpose is simple: help Queenslanders find a place to call home, create more jobs closer to home, and support liveable communities that reflect Queensland's way of life.

We work across government and with industry to attract investment, enable jobs and deliver projects that make a measurable difference for Queenslanders.

About the Role: Join EDQ's Infrastructure Investment team and play a key role in delivering infrastructure funding programs and commercial agreements that support housing, infrastructure and economic development across Queensland. • Manage and support infrastructure funding programs from implementation through to performance monitoring. • Negotiate and administer complex infrastructure agreements with a broad range of stakeholders. • Build strong relationships across government, local councils, utilities and industry. • Prepare high-quality reports, executive briefings and recommendations for senior decision-makers. • Manage consultant contracts, project budgets and funding agreement reporting. • Review infrastructure components within local government planning schemes and contribute to policy reform. • Support and mentor team members while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

About You: You're a commercially minded professional who enjoys building relationships, negotiating outcomes and delivering projects that make a tangible difference to Queensland communities. • Experience working with infrastructure funding programs and/or commercial agreements. • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills across complex environments. • Ability to analyse issues, develop practical solutions and manage competing priorities. • Excellent written communication, including reports, briefings and executive correspondence. • Experience managing contracts, projects or funding programs. • A collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement. • Qualifications in planning, property economics, infrastructure or a related discipline will be highly regarded.

Why Choose EDQ: If you're motivated by purpose and impact, you'll fit right in at EDQ. You will also be able to enjoy the following: • Flexible and agile ways of working. • Generous leave and 12.75% superannuation. • Learning, development and career pathways. • Modern workplaces designed for collaboration. • Inclusive culture that values diversity and cultural capability. • Access for you and your family to hundreds of gyms, pools and fitness facilities in your area at very low cost.
