About this role

About you

As a member of our Creative Production work unit within the Events team, you will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of creative, high-quality and impactful programs and events to build State Library audiences.

A key focus of this role will be to curate, manage and execute exceptional event experiences that resonate with State Library audiences, fostering a deeper connection to Queensland's unique identity and rich cultural heritage.

What you will do

Your key responsibilities will be:

• Managing and producing distinctive, high quality and creative events in a vibrant arts and cultural environment, including State Library's signature and partnership events, exhibition openings, lecture series and symposiums.

• Providing high-level event production advice and support and negotiating and collaborating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.

• Managing programs and events with a high attention to detail including creative development, liaising with stakeholders, event logistics, budgeting and resources, timeline management, liaising with venue and technical staff, contractors and suppliers, preparing agreements, and other event related tasks.

• Setting priorities, developing procedures and monitoring workflow to support other members of the Creative Production team.

• Contributing to business improvement activities to ensure the team meets best practice including developing and interpreting reports and undertaking post event evaluation

• Contributing to a positive and safe work environment by ensuring conduct that is culturally capable, inclusive, respectful and ethical.
