About QGAO:

The Queensland Government Accommodation Office (QGAO) is one of Queensland's largest public-sector property providers, managing a extensive portfolio of office accommodation and strategic assets. Within QGAO, the Property Group manages over 1 million m² of government office space and delivers fit-outs, refurbishments, asset management, property services, and sustainability initiatives to support the effective delivery of government services across Queensland.

The role:

Within QGAO's Property Group, you will support the sustainable management of a diverse property portfolio, including office accommodation, convention centres, heritage buildings and other strategic assets. Reporting to the Principal Project Manager, Major Projects, you will contribute to the delivery of capital works, refurbishment and asset renewal projects, working with multidisciplinary teams to support the effective management of the department's property portfolio.

Key responsibilities: • Provide project coordination and administrative support for capital works, maintenance projects and portfolio programs, including monitoring progress, managing risks and issues, and supporting successful project outcomes. • Support project teams by analysing project information, risks and stakeholder requirements to identify issues, assess options and contribute to informed project delivery decisions. • Monitor and report on project progress, milestones, risks and deliverables, ensuring timely reporting and the escalation of emerging issues as required. • Work collaboratively with QBuild, agencies, consultants and stakeholders to support project planning, resolve issues and achieve project objectives. • Assist in administering and monitoring service contracts and standing offer arrangements, ensuring compliance and escalating contract management issues as required. • Research and provide advice on asset management, government initiatives and industry best practice to support informed decision-making and effective asset management. • Coordinate and liaise with agencies, local government, industry representatives and stakeholders to support project delivery, resolve issues and maintain effective working relationships.
