We are currently seeking applications for a Quality Assurance Analyst to join the Information and Technology branch within the Department of Treasury & Finance for an on-going position. Remuneration : ASO5 – Salary Range ($92,122 to $102,456 p.a) About the Opportunity: The Quality Assurance Analyst (ASO5) will be part of the centralised DTF I&T Quality Assurance function, supporting RevenueSA programs and business‐as‐usual initiatives. This role is responsible for planning, designing, and executing testing activities across RevenueSA systems, including upgrades, enhancements, defect fixes, and regulatory or compliance‐driven changes. The position works closely with delivery teams, developers, and business stakeholders within a predominantly Agile delivery environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the delivery of high‐quality solutions by ensuring systems meet business requirements, legislative obligations, and organisational quality standards. Key Responsibilities • Plan, design, and execute functional, system, integration, and end‐to‐end testing for RevenueSA systems. • Participate in Agile delivery teams, supporting sprint‐based testing, regression testing, release activities, and defect triage. • Validate complex business rules, workflows, calculations, and data processing aligned to revenue collection and compliance processes. • Manage defects through the full lifecycle, working collaboratively with developers and delivery leads to ensure timely resolution. • Maintain high‐quality testing artefacts, evidence, and reporting in line with QA standards and audit requirements. • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA practices, tools, and processes across the DTF I&T and RevenueSA portfolio. About You To be successful, applicants must demonstrate the following capabilities in their cover letter: • Demonstrated experience delivering quality assurance activities within an Agile delivery environment, including sprint‐based testing, regression testing, and release validation for enterprise systems. • Proven experience testing complex enterprise business systems, including validation of business rules, workflows, and calculations, preferably within regulated or compliance‐driven environments (e.g. revenue, taxation, finance, payroll, or government systems). • Demonstrated ability to independently plan, design, execute, and manage testing activities across the SDLC/STLC, including defect management and test reporting with minimal supervision. • Proven hands‐on experience using enterprise delivery and test management tools such as Azure DevOps, JIRA, or equivalent platforms. • Practical experience using SQL to interrogate and validate data to support functional, system, and integration testing. • Well‐developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with technical and business stakeholders.
