About this role

Rangers play a key role in protecting, maintaining and enhancing Queensland’s national parks, state forests and reserves, ensuring they remain accessible and valued by the community. This position is part of the South-West Region Fire Management Team and focuses on supporting the delivery of the region’s planned burning program, while contributing to bushfire preparedness and response. A strong understanding of fire management practices, systems and operational procedures is essential, with operational fire management experience highly regarded. The role supports the on-ground delivery of the region’s fire management program and may involve performing a range of functions during fire operations. Experience working effectively within a small operational team will be highly valued.
