About this role

As a Ranger (OO4), you will support the Ranger in Charge in delivering a broad range of park and land management programs across national parks and state forests in the Ingham region. The role includes fire management and bushfire response, weed and pest control, natural and cultural resource management, infrastructure maintenance, project delivery and compliance activities.

You'll also work closely with neighbouring landholders, community stakeholders and visitors, helping to build positive relationships and support conservation outcomes. The position combines hands-on field work with administrative responsibilities such as record keeping, procurement and reporting. You'll contribute to emergency response operations, assist with supervising staff, volunteers and students, and help maintain a safe and inclusive workplace.

We're looking for someone who is motivated, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Experience in conservation, land management, fire management or a related field will be highly regarded. A current unrestricted manual driver's licence is mandatory, while qualifications in Conservation and Land Management, fire management, chainsaw operation or an MR truck licence would be advantageous.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical outdoor work and is passionate about protecting Queensland's unique natural environments.

Applications to remain current for 12 months.
