We are actively seeking skilled and experienced Registered Nurses with a background in critical care and/or cardiothoracic nursing to take on new challenges within our dynamic healthcare environment. Key responsibilities • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to cardiac patients, including pre and post procedure care • Monitor patients with acute an chronic cardiovascular conditions • Interpret ECGs and monitor vital signs, responding promptly to changes • Educate patients and families on heart health, treatment plans and lifestyle modifications • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation • Collaborate effectively with medical staff and allied health professionals What we’re looking for • Proven experience in critical care or cardiothoracic nursing within an acute/critical care setting • A postgraduate certificate in critical care or cardiac nursing • Flexibility to adapt to rotating rosters to meet unit demands • Exceptional communication skills, adept time management, and a commitment to evidence-based holistic patient care tailored to cardiac specialty services About Cardiac Services Bellarine Centre 5 (BC5) is a 34-bed combined Cardiac service that consists of critical care, cardiothoracic and cardiology beds. Barwon Health’s Cardiac Services covers the complete range of diagnostic and interventional Cardiology, including a 24-hour emergency STEMI Service. The Cardiothoracic Unit performs a wide range of bypass graft, valve repair/replacement and Bental’s, complex thoracic surgery including pneumonectomies, lobectomies and wedge resections.
