What's the Job? • Two-year traineeship completed alongside your HSC studies at High School. • Work 1 day per week (7 hours) at a Hunter New England Health facility while completing competency-based training that contributes towards your HSC. • Earn a Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance or Health Services Pharmacy Support through a Registered Training Organisation while gaining practical experience in healthcare. • Learn alongside Allied Health professionals including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Dietitians, Speech Pathologists, Social Workers and many more! • Tasks and learning opportunities may include assisting with patient activities, helping set up for treatments, supporting group programs, administrative tasks, health promotion activities, and developing valuable communication and teamwork skills in a healthcare setting. • Dedicated cultural support throughout the traineeship to help feel connected in the workplace. • Explore Allied Health career pathways and gain an understanding of how Allied Health professionals support patients and communities across a variety of healthcare settings.

Who are you? • Finishing Year 10 (or equivalent) and heading into Year 11 in 2027. • Interested in a future career in health, particularly Allied Health. • Actively connected with your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander community. • Motivated, enthusiastic and eager to learn new skills. • Able to communicate respectfully and work effectively as part of a team.
