Senior Child Safety Support Officer

About this role

As a Senior Child Safety Support Officer, you will work within a multidisciplinary team and provide high quality, culturally appropriate, child protection services to children, families and carers serviced by the Child Safety Service Centre. You will also support colleagues and management in the delivery of statutory child protection services within a strengths-based, safety-oriented framework for practice.The focus of this role will be on identifying and supporting potential kin to become approved carers and supporting connection to young people in out of home care. The role will be required to establish productive partnerships in consultation with departmental staff, carers and other key stakeholders to meet the placement needs of children and young people.
