About the role

The Senior Psychologist – Statewide Fertility Preservation & Maternity provides high-level psychological services to patients accessing fertility preservation services and patients of the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital Maternity Service. Working within a specialised healthcare environment, the role delivers evidence-based psychological assessment, intervention and consultancy services to support patients experiencing complex medical, fertility and maternity-related challenges.

The successful candidate will provide expert clinical care, contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, and support positive patient outcomes through specialised psychological interventions. The role also provides education, supervision and professional support to psychology staff and students while contributing to multidisciplinary care and service excellence.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Deliver specialised psychological assessment, intervention and consultancy services for patients requiring fertility preservation and maternity-related care.

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychology services while applying advanced clinical reasoning, independent judgement and complex problem-solving skills.

• Monitor, evaluate and report on clinical outcomes, service performance and quality improvement initiatives to support evidence-based practice.

• Provide education, training, supervision and professional support to psychology staff and students to build workforce capability and promote clinical excellence.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and represent Psychology Services within professional networks, committees and service development activities.
