About this role

Your key accountabilities

The core capability requirements for this role are:

• Assist with the implementation of strategies and implementation plans for large scale, complex projects, including supporting the development, maintenance and monitoring of integrated schedules, milestones, dependencies, and resource impacts in line with project management methodologies.

• Advise, liaise, and coordinate with project teams and internal and external stakeholders to support inter agency governance and project delivery, ensuring plans, schedules, scope, resourcing, risks, and priorities remain aligned and communicated, while managing secretariat functions including communications, agendas, papers, minutes, and tracking actions, dependencies, and outcomes.

• Provide timely and accurate advice and information to Project Leads and senior management, using initiative to identify, monitor and escalate risks, delays, conflicts, and issues to support effective decision-making in a pressured and changing environment.

• Prepare high-level departmental reports, dashboards, submissions, briefings, and correspondence on complex and confidential issues, ensuring project data collection, validation and maintenance support accurate reporting, governance, and assurance requirements.

• Liaise, consult, and negotiate with key stakeholders to support delivery and monitoring of agreed outcomes, ensuring alignment with timeframes, budget allocations, and program objectives.

• Develop and maintain effective partnerships across the department, government, and relevant industry, and represent the program on committees and working groups to support program activities and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualification

• There are no mandatory qualifications for this role however experience, skills and experience in scheduling, project coordination or PMO support roles will be highly regarded.

Technical/ Operational/ Educational experience

• Competent in the use of project management frameworks (e.g. PRINCE2) is highly desirable.

Other

• QPS is a large organisation with continually changing priorities. You need to be agile and willing to support this by at times undertaking opportunities with Olympic & Paralympic Games Group.
