Applications for Senior Policy Officer, Supply Chain within Offshore Wind Energy Victoria are now open. • Do you like working in fast-paced environments and taking on challenges? • Are you keen to support the development of a thriving offshore wind industry in Victoria?The Senior Policy Officer, Supply Chain plays a critical role in developing and delivering on the supply chain strategy for the successful establishment of offshore wind in Victoria. This position leads initiatives spanning policy, program, workforce, regional and industry development; collaborating across OWEV branches, other DEECA groups, Victorian Government Departments, Local Government Authorities, Commonwealth agencies and major international and domestic OEMs. The suitable candidate for this role will be experienced and capable in policy and project delivery, adept at managing ambiguity, open to learning from the experiences in international jurisdictions and familiar with local supply chain and manufacturing capabilities that support wind farm development. The team culture is dynamic, collaborative, diverse and supportive of allowing team members to work flexibly within a dynamic environment . Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications • Understanding of Australian national energy markets, systems and frameworks and familiarity with renewable energy trends are highly desirable. • Demonstrated experience leading policy initiatives and economic analysis relating to renewable energy sectors or the energy transition, in Government or the commercial sector, are highly desirable. • Formal qualifications in economics, commerce, law, or renewable energy policy and regulation are desirable. This is a fixed term position available until 30 June 2027. The work location for this position is flexible within Victoria with hybrid work arrangements available.
