Senior Prosecutor

About this role

You will provide professional prosecution services, including the provision of legal advice to members of the Service on matters before the Magistrates, Childrens and Coroners Courts. This position requires the supervision of subordinate staff. Prosecutors are responsible for police related matters in the Mackay Magistrates Court District in addition to servicing the Magistrates Court at Sarina. The Magistrates Courts of Bowen and Proserpine are serviced by a satellite office at Proserpine, attached to Mackay Police Prosecution Corps. A position in this office offers a broad level of experience across all Magistrates Court criminal matters, providing a depth of skill and expertise in the field of prosecuting.
