About the role The role supports the Valuer-General Victoria in delivering accurate and compliant statutory valuations for rating, taxation, and levy purposes. It is responsible for auditing, certifying, and reviewing valuations while applying relevant legislation, standards, and quality processes to ensure valuation accuracy and integrity. The role provides specialist valuation advice, manages objections and disputes, supports contract valuers, and builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It contributes to policy improvements, staff capability, and effective service delivery while promoting collaboration, cultural safety, and continuous improvement. Qualifications and experience You’ll bring: • Completion of an appropriate tertiary qualification with Certified Practising Valuer (CPV) status and membership with the Australian Property Institute (API) (mandatory). • Knowledge of the Valuation of Land Act 1960 and relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing valuation advice by the Valuer-General (mandatory). • A current driver’s licence (Mandatory), with experience in Rating Authority Valuations, government valuations, valuation systems (such as VMonline), and land administration processes.
