As Operations Manager Civil and Dams – Service Delivery , you will lead our Wellington District Civil and Dam teams, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient delivery of water and wastewater services across the region. This is a highly visible leadership role with responsibility for a diverse portfolio of critical assets, including water and wastewater conveyance systems, trunk mains, pipelines, dams, catchments, water treatment facilities, and associated infrastructure throughout the Wellington District. Leading geographically dispersed teams based at our Bunbury and Collie depots, you will play a vital role in maintaining service reliability, managing asset performance, and supporting the communities that depend on us every day. What You Will Bring You will be a motivated and people-focused leader with a strong operational background and a passion for delivering results through others. Responsible for a 24/7 operational service, you will oversee the delivery of both planned and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring critical infrastructure is maintained safely, efficiently, and in line with customer and business expectations. Your technical and operational expertise particularly in areas such as SCADA, excavation, pipeline maintenance, and repair activities will enable you to make sound decisions, manage risk effectively, and prioritise competing demands in a dynamic environment. Success in this role will also depend on your ability to build strong relationships. You will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders across Engineering, Asset Planning, Project Delivery, and Operations, while fostering productive partnerships with local governments, emergency services, contractors, and community stakeholders. A valid WA Driver's Licence is essential, as regular travel throughout the district will be required. What You Will Need to Succeed • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams within complex operational or infrastructure-based environments. • Strong operational and maintenance management expertise, including the delivery of planned and reactive work programs. • Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and the ability to foster a positive, safety-first culture. • Sound risk management, prioritisation, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced operational setting. • Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels. • Strong customer focus and a commitment to delivering exceptional service outcomes. • A track record of driving operational performance, continuous improvement, and organisational change. • Experience managing critical infrastructure, utilities, civil operations, water, wastewater, or similar asset-intensive environments will be highly regarded. • Valid WA Driver's Licence and willingness to travel regularly across the district.
