About the Role
Crown Law's Property, Planning and Infrastructure Team provides expert legal services on a wide range of property, planning and infrastructure matters.
As a Special Counsel in the team, you will primarily attend to transactional work and advisory work. Transactional work includes drafting documentation for commercial and retail leases and residential tenancies, easements, licences and statutory covenants and dealings with Crown land. Advisory work includes providing advice on a wide variety of property-related matters. You will be a member of a multidisciplinary team including experts in property, planning and environment law, and contribute to mentoring staff and fostering a collaborative culture. Flexible working arrangements, including part-time options, are available.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
• Admission as a legal practitioner in Queensland (or eligibility for admission).
• Substantial post-admission experience in property, planning or infrastructure law, with demonstrated strengths in property transactional and advisory work.
• The ability to manage complex and sensitive matters.
• A background in government legal teams or private practice with public sector clients is welcomed.
We encourage applications from experienced legal professionals with 4 or more years post-admission experience and demonstrated expertise in the relevant areas of law. Remuneration and appointment level will be considered in line with the successful candidate's relevant post-admission experience, technical expertise, and demonstrated capability.
